Hi Ben,

Because the bookmarks are created through javascript, you have the opportunity to make an AJAX call to the server with some logging details. There are some frameworks which make this easy enough, such as JQuery and Prototype. If your using ASP.NET AJAX, then there is always the option to make a call to a Web Service (strictly speaking a Script Service in this context) from the client side using javascript. Take a look at <a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-au/library/bb515101.aspx" rel="nofollow">Using Web Services in ASP.NET AJAX</a> for more information.

Let me know if you need a further example. I can always create a new post on the subject.

I like the product a lot actually. It's not perfect, and there are a few glitches, but its really the quality of output I like. It's quick to work with and the results are always presentable. Using Powerpoint and few hyperlinks is probably more cumbersome than using Balsamiq.

Give it a go, and post what you think.

Good post,

I have set up a few of these links, I am looking to quantify the benefits.

You say you can monitor usage, any details on how to?

This is good in the sense that the customer will be less hung up on the design, as I often get premature feedback about specific functions and look and feel. The more accurate I make a prototype the more questions I get, even to the point when they think it I can just flick a switch and it's live.

But how good is this product? Better than powerpoint with a few cartoon images and hyperlinks? I will take a look.

Thanks for sharing this
